ABOUT
OUR HISTORY & FUTURE
Founded in May of 2014, Bassically Treble is the FIRST Young Women in Harmony Chorus to become a chartered Chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

Currently we have 25 members on our roster and we meet on Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30pm throughout the year except in the month of July, which is set-aside for members to take vacation with their families.  Because we are a Young Women’s group, we realize that school takes precedence and to accommodate conflicting school activities we meet once a month on a Saturday from 12:00-4:00pm.

We collect monthly dues to cover chorus operating expenses, Regional and International fees.

If you like to sing and want to learn more about the barbershop style, join us for a fun evening of a cappella singing.
OUR PHILOSOPHY

Public school music educator of 36 years.  Masters in Music Education with vocal emphasis.  Introduced to barbershop harmony by Vocal Majority  under the direction of Jim Clancy.  Sweet Adelines experience with the Rich Tones Chorus  under the direction of Dale Syverson and current member of Sooner Sensation Chorus under the direction of Debbie Hagan Hogan, international Queen of Harmony 1987 Ginger n' Jazz.

I introduced barbershop singing to my high school choirs for UIL competition.  My students loved it so much that I started looking for a young women in harmony chorus for them to join and found there were none.  This led to a young women in harmony festival hosted by Sooner Senstions Chorus where I met Heidi Barr and together with the support of Debbie Hagan Hogan have entered into the adventure of forming Sweet Adelines' first offical Young Women In Harmony chorus.
27 year veteran teacher in middle school science and elementary gifted and talented education.  Bachelor's degree in Biology and Life Science and elementary certification.  Music has always been a huge part of my life.  I was introduced to barbershop singing in 2002 with Texas Harmony Chorus   under the direction of Darlene Rogers and later I joined Sooner Sensations Chorus under the direction of Debbie Hagan Hogan.  I am also a member of quartet.

Through assisting the Sooner Sensations with young women in harmony festivals, I met Terri Jarvis.  In one of our commutes, we hatched the plan to start what became Bassically Treble Chorus.
